I serve as an AWWS certified birth doula in Pomeroy, Clarkston, and the surrounding areas! I hope to make birth support in the area where I live more readily available to the families here. I am passionate about Jesus, my family and my community. I desire to create spaces where people feel loved and safe. I love being outdoors, playing board games and drinking coffee with people I love.
I had a doula by my side during my second birth and this was life changing! The support she offered to me and my husband empowered me to cope in labor and bring such joy into the process as well. I have no doubt that she positively affected the outcome of my labor and delivery experience. This led me on the journey to serve other women in a way that brings joy and peace to their birth experience (Elizabeth’s Way).
Over the last 10 years I've been involved in birth work in various capacities. I have worked as a birth and postpartum doula, host and participant of mom support groups, including breastfeeding support groups (La Leche League). I have proudly been both a member and leader of my local I.C.A.N. (International Cesarean Awareness Network) chapter. So I have a special place in my heart for VBACs and women who have had a cesarean.
Being a doula has been one of the greatest joys, challenges, and honors of my life. Birth is a special time, and I am incredibly privileged to come alongside families as they experience it.
I am originally from Florida where I lived all of my life but have recently moved with my husband and 2 children to Washington state! I was a teacher, a campus minister at FSU (Go Noles!) but am taking the time to focus more fully on doula work.
